The refurbished accommodation offers a stylish interior with lots of original olde worlde character features including low beams inglenook fireplace and a steep winding cottage style staircase. The 17th century cottage is a short walk to the pubs and shops as well as being less than 1 mile to the sandy beach of Westward Ho! Explore the many attractions in the area such as RHS Rosemoor Gardens and Dartington Crystal which are both at Torrington. Hire cycles and ride or walk along the Tarka Trail (a disused railway line). The nearby small fishing villages of Clovelly and Appledore are both worth a visit and from here you can hop on board and take a boat trip. Take a short drive over the estuary to the sandy beach and dunes of Instow. For those who want a little relaxation why not sit and enjoy a drink in the small enclosed patio area. The accommodation offers ONE bedroom: vaulted double with sea views TV and separate vaulted dressing room with put-up bed or ideal for a cot. Bathroom: newly fitted with shower over bath and WC located downstairs and access through a low doorway. Lounge/diner: with TV DVD and hi-fi feature stone fireplace with woodburner (first basket of logs included October - March) and selection of books available. Kitchen: newly-fitted with electric oven hob hood fridge freezer washing machine and microwave. Amenities: parking within walking distance. Bed linen towels and electric included. Electric heating throughout. 1 small dog welcome. Regret no smoking. Additional info: guests are advised that due to the character of the property there are cottage style stairs and low beams in places care must be taken. Minimum stay 4 nights. Location: beach 1 mile shops and pubs within walking distance.

Northam is a small village in north Devon, England, not far from Westward Ho!, Bideford, Appledore, Instow, and Abbotsham. The nearest designated cities are Plymouth and Exeter.
Whilst perhaps not as well known as some other towns in the area Northam is in fact an excellent location for a holiday in north Devon, boasting a wide range of holiday lets and accommodation. It is known for the Northam Burrows which lies beside the Taw Torridge Estuary. These marshes and sand dunes are part of the North Devon Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and provide for a beautiful location to both explore and also to view a variety of wildlife in their natural habitat.
